We treat the urinary tract in men, women and children, and the male reproductive organs: the kidneys, the ureters that carry urine down, the bladder, the urethra, and in men the prostate and testes. Stones and prostate trouble are the two problems we see most.
We have one consultant urologist. We provide lithotripsy, which uses shock waves, without a cut, to break a kidney stone into pieces small enough to pass in the urine. We perform endoscopic procedures through the urethra, and open and keyhole surgery where the problem cannot be reached that way. We have ultrasound, X-ray and CT.

When to seek emergency care
Blood in the urine, even once and at any age, pain in the flank that comes in waves, a weak or interrupted stream, or getting up repeatedly at night to pass urine: book an outpatient visit. Being unable to pass urine at all is an emergency. Do not wait for an appointment: come to our emergency department.
