We treat children from birth through the teenage years: fever and infection, cough and breathing problems, loose motions and dehydration, feeding and growth concerns, and vaccination.
We have two consultant paediatricians. We have a 24-hour emergency department, a laboratory running blood counts and biochemistry, and X-ray, ultrasound and CT. Paediatric surgery is a separate department, and our obstetrics and gynaecology department is here too. Kidney care for children comes under our nephrology department.

When to seek emergency care
For a baby under three months, any fever needs to be seen the same day. At any age, do not wait if a child is breathing fast or struggling to breathe, is drowsy or very hard to wake, will not drink, has passed no urine for many hours, has a fit, or has a rash that does not fade when pressed. Come to our emergency department.
