When to seek emergency care
Vision that is blurring or dimming, difficulty reading or driving at night, or persistent redness, watering or discomfort needs an OPD visit. If you have diabetes, have your eyes checked at the interval your physician advises, even if your sight seems fine. Sudden loss of vision in one eye, sudden eye pain with headache or vomiting, a curtain or shadow across your sight, a shower of new floaters and flashes, or anything sharp or chemical in the eye means come to our emergency department at once.
